Man can't prove he paid for rail ticket, ends up dead.

Slain man was in jail over $110 fine - Edmonton - CBC News: "Barry Raymond Stewart, 59, was found dead in a cell around 5 a.m. Thursday morning.

Another inmate, Justin Caldwell Somers, 25, is charged with second-degree murder in his death.

According to court documents, Stewart opted to go to jail instead of paying the $110 fine for the LRT infraction. He was also picked up on outstanding warrants and was sentenced to two days in jail."
